A couple of scripts with GUI to speed up lighting setups
If you are like me (unable to keep the Attribute Spread Sheet open or navigating through all the paremeters drives you crazy) those scripts could be usefull.
MENTAL RAY SHADOW MAPS OVERRIDE:
Mental Ray shadow maps overrides are really useful when tuning a scene (especially because you can set the samples for the lights).
Something that I have always found boring is not being able to set more than one light at a time from the
channel box or having to open the attribute spread sheet and search in between so many attributes.
Here is where this little window is handy: select all the lights that you want to change (also mixed types) and control them from here.
RENDER ATTRIBUTE MANAGER:
This GUI allows you to manage all the render attributes (like “primary visibility” or “visible in reflections”) on the selected objects from a single panel.
And if you start to find random orange attributes (layer overrides) you can clean them from the current layer with just one click.
